We had so much fun snorkeling in Hawaii! I couldn’t get the boys out of the water and if you ask them what their favorite part of the trip was they will tell you it was snorkeling and seeing that turtle. We go snorkeling a lot in Florida too but we don’t have many reefs as close to shore so we usually have to go out on a boat to go and the water is not nearly as clear here. We have a lot of turtles making nests on the beach here in Florida right now. A few years ago, I was lucky enough to be walking by a nest as the turtles were hatching and I got to watch the babies go out to the water. They were so cute!! If you ever go to Oahu two of the best places to snorkel on the island are Shark’s Cove and Three Tables. They are actually right next to each other on the North Shore where we spent most of our trip and it is my absolute favorite place on Oahu.
I’m wearing the same bikini in 2 different colors in these pics. This is my favorite bikini out of any I have ever owned (and that is saying a lot!). I love it so much that I got it in 2 colors and it comes in even more colors. It just stays on so well and is really flattering.
It has been a crazy week and it’s only Wednesday! Saturday, which I guess technically was last week, my youngest son got his finger shut in a door when we were out in our friend’s boat and ended up with 6 stitches. We were on the boat fishing right near the beach by our house so we ended up just jumping off and swimming to shore with the kids and all of our stuff bc it would’ve taken at least an hour to get back to the dock to take him anywhere to get stitches. Never a dull moment when you have kids! Haha. I got him safely to the nearest urgent care and 5 lollipops later (he was THAT dramatic with the numbing shots) he was all smiles and feeling better. He was so sweet saving a lollipop to bring home for each of us and he came home and told everyone that “he got stitches and it didn’t even hurt!”. We had to get it x-rayed yesterday during his re-check just to make sure it wasn’t broken since he’s still having trouble bending it but everything looks ok and the stitches come out next Monday! We almost made to age 7 with no stitches so I guess we are not doing too bad! 😉 His birthday is Friday and I had a little beach party with a few friends planned for him on Saturday but we ended up postponing it until next week since he can’t go in the water with his stitches. We are going to have cake on Friday and are planning on doing something else for him over the weekend (maybe Legoland). Anyway…the day after that happened I somehow mangaged to scratch my eye in the middle of the night and could barely open it when I woke up. It got worse as the day went on and I ended up grocery shopping in sunglasses. I can only imagine what people were thinking as I’m walking around the store with sunglasses on buying Visine. 😂 It’s still really watery but feeling better so I think I might get full vision back soon and actually be able to wear eye make-up again. 🤞🏻And then my computer broke which is why I am so behind on posting everything. I’m posting from the IPad right now and the new computer is on the way! I always try to look on the bright side though (figuratively since I can’t really look at anything bright with my right eye right now 😂) stitches, scratched eyes, and broken computers…..things could be much much worse so I am very thankful! Have a great night and enjoy the rest of your week! I will have some more Hawaii posts up soon! xo
